St. Swithin's Day

Back in the ninth century, Saint Swithin was Bishop of Winchester (England), advisor to the King of Wessex, and patron saint of Winchester Cathedral for several centuries thereafter. Although it may only be accidentally attributed to him, it is still a popular belief in England and elsewhere that if it rains on his day -- today -- it will continue to rain for forty days.

St. Swithin's Day, if thou dost rain,
For forty days it will remain
St. Swithin's Day, if thou be fair,
For forty days it will rain nae mair.

Hello, Noah??
