Privacy Policy
It is the intention of Common Sense
Americanism to protect the privacy of it's
visitors by not knowingly:
Furthermore, although all submissions to our site become the property of Common Sense Americanism specifically for use on our site, we will not violate the spirit of that agreement by using articles or commentary submitted to us for purposes not directly associated with the site, unless permission is received from the submitter beforehand. We do caution our visitors that, when using an outbound link to connect with another site, that site may gather and use information directly from the visitor that we would consider protected. We cannot be responsible for other sites' policies. Cookies: A "cookie" is a small (255 characters maximum) text string that is stored on your hard drive (usually in the c:/documents & settings/.../cookies directory on Windows machines) by a Web server when instructed to do so by the page you have logged onto. The file cannot be executed so, therefore, cannot function as a virus (today, anyway). Most sites — like ours — simply use the cookie to store info you have given us, so as to conveniently regurgitate it when it's useful to your future visits. Admittedly some large commercial sites store information you have volunteered to them in cookies on your machine that are, without your knowledge, accessible to professional data-gatherers. Common Sense Americanism will never do this — we consider such practices to be a gross violation of the presumption of confidentiality which should accompany commercial transactions. Our cookies will remain for our use only, and solely for the enhancement of your visit to our site. Basically our Privacy Policy supports our desire for a serious discussion, where all views are welcomed, and no one will be shouted down. We feel names are unimportant, as the message is more important than the person. To protect that environment, it is in the site's best interests to make every effort to maintain our visitors' privacy.
